MarineTrack...Just Do It

MarineTrack has announced the appointment of their new Financial Director and Company Secretary. Roger Blight joined the team at the last company board meeting. Blight brings with him 30 years of experience including his previous role as Financial Director of Nike; one of the most successful brands worldwide today. Since joining the company, Roger Blight has brought to MarineTrack (and in turn, its clients), a sound financial and commercial footing on which to grow their success.

Roger Blight, former UK Financial Director of sports giants Nike, joins the MarineTrack team. Since taking semi retirement late 2003 Blight was eager to remain active in the corporate world.

"When I retired from Nike I wanted to work within the fast growing technology sector. My first involvement with MarineTrack was when I was using their online RaceTrack system to view a family friend during the recent Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup." Blight said. So impressed with the product he bought his own tracking system.

"They had a great product but I felt they needed help building the brand" he added.

Managing Director, Stuart Nicholls was quick to harness Roger's 30 years of business experience. "He offered the business a powerful insight in how to grow a brand name globally".

Blight was part of a team which built the Nike brand in the UK during the 80's and 90's. More recently, the pinnacle of his distinguished career was being part of the internal team that secured Manchester United, Barcelona and Arsenal under the famous Nike brand logo.

Captain Nicholls is delighted with his new team acquisition; "Securing this appointment demonstrates MarineTrack's determination to create a global brand within the marine industry. Roger will be responsible for the day to day financial control of the business as well as steering our active marketing department to achieve our goal" Nicholls added.
