Red Storm at MarineTrack

1st September 2006 - Doug Littlejohns CBE was announced as the new Chairman of MarineTrack. As President of Red Storm Entertainment Inc, he led the company with author Tom Clancy to become the 8th biggest PC games publisher in North America in under 3 years. The former submarine commander and MD of Earl's Court and Olympia will blend his software, business, and naval experience to support the rapid expansion plans at MarineTrack, Shoreham by Sea.

Littlejohns has not been slow in demonstrating his leadership skills; last week he announced a new board comprised of Duncan Lipscombe, Edward Oliver and recently appointed CEO Captain Stuart Nicholls.

"Marine tracking and asset monitoring requires a unique blend of harnessing seafaring knowledge and software development and we have all of that in abundance" Littlejohns commented at the recent Southampton Boat Show.

Joining the Chairman at the helm will be Captain Stuart Nicholls, former deep sea merchant marine master. In his previous position of Sales and Marketing director, Nicholls was instrumental in overseeing the fitting of MarineTrack's counterterrorist alert and tracking systems to some of the worlds most well known shipping companies. Nicholls now has the responsibility of converting this success into the recreational sector.

Speaking at the Monaco yacht show last week, Nicholls said: "MarineTrack has the technology, understanding and support to deliver the most comprehensive tracking system, however our first goal is to make sure the discerning owner, builder, and charterer understands how we not only track but extend the experience of operating a vessel through our new intelligent online interface"
