Plug & Play the MarineTrack Way
What are your main concerns when you leave your boat on a marina? Theft, fire, flood or loss of shore power are constant concerns for most boat owners when leaving their valuable assets unmanned when they are unable to get out on a regular basis. With so many options out there at the moment it's all about making the right choice first time round, saving time and installation costs.
With so many systems on the market offering some type of warning solution, is there really any more room for another? MarineTrack believes there is, as they launch their much awaited 'Plug & Play' system at METS 06, Amsterdam in November.
MarineTrack has a wealth of technological experience of monitoring onboard events, transmitting, receiving and displaying via an online control panel. So what makes this any different from other solutions?
MarineTrack have combined a new expandable monitoring interface board with their well reputed tracking system.
Nicholls, company MD added; "We have taken this route because it embraces both our tracking and monitoring pedigree, it's a simple plug and play choice menu for the owner."
A short burst of data using a satellite terminal, gives truly global coverage at a fraction of the cost of similar GSM/GPRS systems. The alert message is decoded through their bespoke online interface which each customer has secure access to. Any secure user worldwide can receive the message via SMS, email, voice or fax.
It is no good having GSM/GPRS for tracking as it only works 12 miles off land, although fine to monitor in port, but what happens when you cross the channel and then require the monitoring? You the owner pick up huge roaming charges. Owners want a system with clear costing, that they can add to when they need. That is what the MarineTrack plug and play offers.
